This post absolutely cracked me up. People arguing over the price of semen, on a bull, no one wants to use.

I am a little bit slow, so I didn't see the humor.  Once you pointed it out...I actually did laugh out loud!

Thanks for the laugh.

The BISS program is owned by Jordan Buba, Spruce Grove, Alberta. Jordan only has a few Shorthorns but she has a pile of cattle knowledge from working with her families Lewis Farms breeding herd of about 1000 cows. Lewis Farms has been a world leader in Simmental genetics and they also have some Angus and Limo females. Their annual bull sale usually offers 300- 400 bulls and it is one of the great sales every year. I think the Shorthorn breed is fortunate to have a young lady like Jordan involved and she has already proven that she knows how to get it done.

If you don't like the bull, look the other way.  If you don't like the breed, use another breed.  I am just a youngster, but always thought...if you want maternal, use angus, if you want pounds, use char or simmy genetics, etc.  No reason to bash.  The bull comes from a proven program if I've ever seen one.  Most people bashing others program/cattle, etc. are those who just sit in the stands anyhow.  I have done it myself.  The truth is, if you want it...go get it yourself.  You never know what it takes until you have been there yourself!!!

If it's a secondary sexual characteristic, he's in trouble.
If it's fake, it's sad to think he's been wearing it backwards all this time.

Got it.  After review, I now understand your avatar shot actually is your whole body and the hair you were talking about is actually your chin and not your trailhead.

Somehow you have things backwards, which is par for the course.

Pulling your head out of your rear is impossible since they are one and the same.

BISS Element should be a great choice for adding good maternal traits. His Grand dam Butterfield Lady 13N has produced some great offspring both at Dixon Farms and through her firts heifer calf that went to Double Star. As well his sire has produced some great daughters including this years Agribition Grand Champion female and one of the Interbreed top ten fianalists, DF True Love 3T.
