This is more for those of us that are a certain age.  ;) While flipping through channels this morning I came across Van Morrison singing "Brown Eyed Girl" on Regis & Kelli. wow, did that bring back memories! What other singers/bands that were popular back when we were in high school or college that have resurfaced? The Eagles come to mind. Of course the bands that never die such as the Rolling Stones & AC/DC are still producing records!

My son is into the Grateful Dead and going to one of their concerts this summer. He can't believe that I don't like them. I am a head banger and really like todays music. Don't get me wrong that I don't like my supposed gerations music, Phil Collins etc. I just really like the rock of today that had good influence from the '70 & '80s music. That is what is blasting in my barn. Hubby doesn't like it, he is a Doo Whap Diddity Ditty kind of guy.

Ahh,,,,,,the great musicians

Joan Baez has just released "Day After Tomorrow".  She appeared at the first Newport Folk Festival in 1959 at age 18.

Robert Plant and Alison Krauss’ unorthodox partnership has just gathered a Grammy and an Oscar.

Neil Young has come from Buffalo Spring field to his 2001 single "Let's Roll", was a tribute to the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks, and the passengers and crew on Flight 93 in particular.

"Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood Live From Madison Square Garden" coming this Spring.  WOW!

Mickey Dolenz, our favorite Monkee,  is in his first reality-show, CMT's GONE COUNTRY.

Bob Dylan just released two new albums in 2008, Tell Tale Signs & Blood on the Tracks.

From the Birth of Rock and Roll in Memphis, with Elvis, the music of the late 1950s to the mid 1970s will never die no matter what Don McLean said. The list goes on and on and on and on......................................................

I work part time at a venue that holds small concerts (around 300 people).  Last weekend America played.  I was surprised that they were still touring with two original members (Beckley and Bunnell).  Their new stuff sounds alot like their old stuff.  Pretty good concert, sold out for two shows.
