Blue eyed calf

As you can tell, this is no show calf.  I just wanted to show a pic. of our baby with blue eyes.  (She isn't blind.)

That calf is saying " You cant see me now."  (lol)

She's a cutie! I had a heifer born with blue eyes in April but they turned grey after a month or so.  ;D

Thats a first for us.  I just thought it was weird.

Never mind her eyes and the fact that she's WAY cute, that's a great picture!  You caught her just right and framed her in the foliage perfectly!

We had one last year with blue/grey eyes. They were still blue when we sold him in the fall.

I was researching this topic because we have a black baldy Simmental calf this year with two ice blue eyes. I was worried he may be blind or have problems, but he seems fine. I feel better now that I've learned that other breeders have experienced the same thing with apparently no problems.

Here's our blue-eyed black baldy calf... Nice calf... Never had one with eyes like that!

A friend had 2 angus cows that he bred to Eye Candy and both of them had blue marble eyes and both of them seem fine. First time I had ever seen it.

I had an amen steer born last year with blue eyes, no sight issues, and he stayed that way till I sold him at a sale in the fall.
