Just thought I'd share. This is our first Shorthorn influenced calf and I'm pretty excited about him.

Pretty nice looking calf. I just bred this cow to Grandmaster hoping for a little more guts, and that nice blue color that you got. I have seen a couple of blues out of him now.

Thanks everyone. I seriously think that cow was some of the best money I ever spent. I've had a lot of fun with her on the show road and she's really pleased me as a cow.
Shortdawg- Thats the big, stout RadioActive heifer we had at Wiregrass this year. She's from Jeff Roy of Indianna.
GLZ- Good luck with your calf; looks like it'll have plenty to eat!!

What does everyone think about Ace of Diamonds on her? Planning to flush her soon. Once back to Grandmaster and then once to a Shorthorn bull. I like the calves I've seen out of AOD, but I'm kinda new to the shorties, so any input would be appreciated.

Yea, I remember her now - she is tank. I think as thick as she was that AOD would work well on her. AOD seems to make some very pretty profiling females.

There are alot of good shorthorns-Ace would be one that would work-PERSONALLY-I would consult DR Jeff Connell-Stillman Valley Ill.Connell Stock Farms.-He is without question-the longest running and (IMO) the most knowledgable shorthorn club calf breeder of them all-Wendall Dunn-in OKLA. aint no slouch either, Connell Stock Farms has a Cunia X Mona Lisa son -Bred by JM -Metzger-on either Gen-horizens or Cattle Visions-that has mass quantities of Dividend-Kaba breeding-et-al. Your cow has mass quantities of Improver-and variations-this combo has never failed-Im talkin OLDSCHOOL-plus the bull is clean.The RS After Hours bull at K-Kim sired a couple way cool calves for me-Hes Gizmo-Maine-and Pretender on the original Mona Lisa cow-A hiefer bull-got a ghetto butt-is a hiefer bull and clean. O0
