CA doing a TOY gun turn in for kindergarteners! N/C

Just saw a story on our local news where an elementary school in CA was doing a toy gun turn in . They turn in a toy gun and get a free book. The principal said that playing with a toy gun desensitizes kids to shooting someone with a real one. I don't know about you , but I played with toy guns growing up and haven't shot anyone yet. I know the consequences to doing it.

Another example of the liberal teachers providing our children education on something they should stay out of. That is a parents job not the teachers.

Many teachers are not liberal. One excellent heartland (near Evansville, IN) teacher has commented that the real problem may be violent video games. Why not have students turn in video games and other electronic devices? Maybe confiscate cell phones? Some schools give students iPads--are they safe or not? Should desktops be banned?

In my local high school several years ago a student stabbed a teacher in the head with a sharp #2 pencil. Let's ban pencils!

The next time someone tells you video games and movies don't have an impact on your mind just remind yourself how much coke pays for a 30 second ad during the Super Bowl.

kids should be turning in their parents and get a free entitlement.

Video games are just the new and improved version of cowboys and indians. The only toy guns kids really have much anymore are the air soft guns they play with in junior high.

Haha of course I will. I judge my affiliation kinda like I do cattle. Which 'party' is more complete. Which 'parties' platform do I agree more with? There are none perfect- in either 'arena.'

Same as with all our foreign affairs. Stop squandering our money overseas and put every American troop back on our soil. Allocate all that squandered money towards education and infrastructure right here in America.
