noticed a heifer calf today right try turning her head to the right to look at me and she turned it slow with jerking motions reminded me of one of those pulsating sprinklers, seemed to only do it when she looked to he right, also her eye on the right seemed to be slightly rolled back , not up but straight back towards the body

Sounds like she may just have gotten something in her right eye & she is being cautous about hurting it more as she turns her head in that direction. Grass seed possibly.

When we get one in to treat an eye problem, we'll shoot 5mls/100lbs of body wt. plus I like to take some long acting pen. and hold the eye open and try to squirt a couple of mls @ a time into the eye letting go of the eye lid in between doses so that it gets worked in. Of coarse take the needle off while dosing the eye. Seem to have good luck with this protocol.
