While wandering around Menards last night I walked past the black iron pipe in the plumbing section.  I got to wondering if you can use it for fencing.  My idea would be to run it 5 bars across and fasten it to wood fence post every 10 feet or so.  Anybody know if you can use it for fencing?  Wasn't sure how it would hold up to the weather.  I tried Google(ing) the idea and came up with no answers.  Thanks for your help.

I had a local Amish shop make six bar continuous fence panels (54" tall)for me at $98 for a 20' length.    Not sure you can get black pipe for that.

Have not bought any lately, but that sounds like terribly expensive fence.  I think about $2.00 per LF here locally.

When you get a chance could you post or email a picture of your continuous fence?

I'll try and get a pic tonight.  I have just one short 60' section up now, waiting for warmer weather to build fence.

Pipe used is 1 1/16" I think.  12 gauge wall if I remember right.  A 20' section weighs about 200 pounds.
It has vertical members every 4'.  They are connected to wood posts with U clamps or welded to steel pipe posts.

Check out the GoBob site.  They have a whole bunch of pipe products as well as continuous fence.  There are quite a few outfits that sell continuous fence in the $90-$100 range for 20' sections.  Just search "continuous fence" and you may find a dealer that is a reasonable distance to haul.

This is a section of continuous fence.  ( Paint was about $25 extra)

Second pic is of the 16' sections I had them build for interior pens.  They feature 48" walk/ride thru gates with spring latches and chains.  They were about $225
