My brother has bought a bull out of CF PRIMO X ET mainly on the bulls apperarance and he was wanting to try the shorthorn breed.  Now the question is what is this bull known for?  steers or replacement hiefers.

Any info would be appreciated.  By the way he used him on angus and angus simmi cows and has a few nice looking calves.  Some came a little larger than he is used to.

CF Primo is a Full brother to CF Solution, HD Bloodstone, CF Phoneix, HD BIG AND RICH 204 ET, CF Ringo,

These are pretty much the bulls that set the shorthorn show industry standard. It is safe to bet you have good show cattle genetics. Trump bred cattle tend to be more geared towards a fancy, long neck heifers that express themselves with overall power. Although they may not be the most efficient, none the less they handle their own very well in the show ring.

I would be interested in what the cow side of this bull is?
I have had only one Primo sired calf and it was an ET calf that weighed 118 lbs. He was thick, big boned, and pretty hairy. Nice calf. The birthweight would be the only concern I would bring up but I have also heard from other Shorthorn breeders that his birthweights have been more reasonable than Solution and Bloodstone. I hope things work out well and if it's show calves your looking for, I think this guy is bred pretty good on the sire side.  ;)

JTM, I would be interested in knowing what cow your calf was out of. Just like you mentioned , the majority of the calves I have heard, have been smaller than his brothers. I have used him on heifers even( right or wrong).
I have bought into 2 syndicates since 1972. HS Rodeo Drive & CF Primo. Both have worked out good for me & made me money.
Primo will produce some animals that are a little softer made, clean up front ends and the dtrs are starting to make real good mommas.  JMO.

Doc, the dam on that calf was SS Augusta Pride 361. She is a Sonny x SS Augusta Pride 3127.

Yeah, this was only one calf and I'm sure there are plenty that are much smaller. That's why I mentioned that I had heard that others were having better experiences with him than I. I wanted to be fair to you Doc and remembered that you said that the birthweights have been decent.
