"The DOL assumes that youth under age 16 lack the 'cognitive ability' to herd animals on horseback, use battery-powered drills, put hay bales on a bale elevator or use any equipment except if powered by hand or foot."

Pretty sure by then I had moved more hay, rode more horses, worked with more cattle & sheep, and ran 10x as many saws and drills than any freaking person in congress...they can shove it this is ridiculous.

"prohibited from engaging, or assisting in ... treating sick or injured animals."
My project was/is my project! my parents have done very little in caring for my animals...because they're mine so i have to take the responsibility...every thing I do...Why don't they come see what we are really all about!

Will they outlaw team sports next?  Seems like I hear of plenty of kids with sports-related injuries.  How is agriculture different?

Always find go info on here.  This is beyond stupid.  Why does my son get hired to do jobs for people BECAUSE he learned how to run equipment on the farm, he understands the FOUR LETTER WORD WORK and he knows what it feels like to earn a wage doing a days work.  Oh now I get it....the government dips%%ts sit on thier arses so they have never run even a post hole digger(oooo the blisters thier pansy hands would get from that!?!), they will never understand what it takes to WORK a day on a farm(wuld love to see a suit working in a milking parlor) and as for wages...those are the gifts we give them for meddling in our business.

Here is a link if you would like to post a comment to these ahhhhh....people.

Solely to show the hypocrisy of their line of thinking, is it not the same congress that believes children under the age of 16 are fully capable of forming and acting upon their own decisions regarding ending a pregnancy without even parental consent?  Yet the same children lack the cognitive ability to ride a horse, or operate a drill?

Anyone not done with these fools?

50% of americans are not done with these fools.  the other 50% have the same logic fail but on different issues.

just more evidence that the federal government should be reined in.

it's my feeling that the wall street protesters and the tea party have more in common than meets the eye.  they both are protesting the excesses of those in charge and that there is no competition to drive down their influence and pricing schemes.

it's really simple that the housing crisis was caused equally by congress, the banks and greedy purchasers and created a bubble.  everyone fails to realize everyone had a hand in it and can only blame those that fit their flawed talking points.

i wonder if the DOL could look into this.

why isn't the american public outraged?  amazing.  still boils down to abortion that drives most elections.  i am a hypocrite on abortion.  i don't endorse it, but i'm not going to criminalize it.  i would rather, and do, support adoption, which has it's own problems and abuses, and the rules are entirely too restrictive and should be more up to adoptive parents and the parents of the child.  once again, government has screwed that up too due to exceptions and a zealous need to ruin everything with good intentions.
