Ok, we had a group of 20 recips we were trying to bring into heat to get eggs. Put cidrs in with a shot of GNRH. 7 days later we pull the cidrs and have a shot of estrumate. Then 2 days later after we pulled cidrs we gave another shot of GNRH. Only half the cows showed a standing heat. Went to put eggs in and my embryologist said it was fine the cows all went through ovulation, and that the second shot of gnrh may have caused some of the cows to not how the secondary signs of heat. Anyways, we put eggs in all the cows except one that he said didn't feel right. Should I be okay?
Next, we have another group of recips the exact same protocol. Out of 25 cows NONE showed a standing heat, he plans to come soon to put eggs in this group. Should I be worried? Or are the drugs actually working?

Protocal I used was put cidr in and gave shot of GRNH. 7 days later pulled cidrs and gave a shot of Lut. 24 hours after pulling Cidr, I gave a shot that my embryologist sent me. Its like a reproduction type drug that helps with the heat. 24 hours after that 100% of my recips stood. My advice on whether you should be worried or not comes down to when the embryologist sticks his arm in her. If your recips are showing a strong CL, then you will be fine. If they arent showing a good CL, you probably have around a 5% chance  of catching them

He is picky on his CL's and he said they felt good. I won't put eggs in if they are not good. Guess I shouldn't be worried idk...we usually go off natural heats and get 70-75 percent but am just too busy to her watch day and night.

We just pulled the Cidrs on 20 recips this morning and gave them estrumate. We still have to finalize our list of embryos to use. Decisions, decisions :-\

This is a standard fixed time embryo transfer protocol you are working with based off of OvSynch in the dairy world.  It works fine but I actually prefer that the GnRH shot is given 60 or even 72 hrs after the CIDR pull to allow the cows that would normally cycle later develop a bigger follicle better able to respond to the GnRH shot.  You have a 24 hour window on either side of when embryos go in for acceptable heats, and most practitioners target 60 hrs after CIDR pull as the target heat time when they will be there transferring a week later.  Therefore, you could actually wait all the way until 84 hrs after CIDR pull and still be fine.  A large majority of the cows would have cycled by themselves by that time anyway if you would wait that long which is not a bad thing.
