Clubby Angus bull?

Any suggestions of an Angus bull to breed to my heatwave x friction heifer?? if the semen is sexed that would be great!!

easy: pick a list of about 10 you like- and throw a dart at it.

Any OCC, all do the same things, or Duff, pretty well the same.

You might look at Dawson`s Cherokee and The Answer they both have some style  for Angus bulls. Copyright works pretty good to.

Sp The Answer 813 (We got a tremendous calf out of him last year. Showed and sold well.), SAV Brilliance (you can get sexed on him), SAV Pioneer or Bismarck, Hoover Dam and Kessler's Frontman (not sure if you are looking for a show look but I like his calves.) Hope this helps. These are bulls I really like and like what I've seen out from them.  Are you looking for a show calf or just something good to sell or keep as a replacement?

If you consider Hoover Dam make sure you got one that is great on the front legs. Just seems like the few i have seen have all had a bit of an issue when moving on the fronts.

For my clubby heifers I am using Northern Improvement and Brilliance (sexed heifer) on my other ang/simm heifers if I can get ahold of some.  It's on backorder with ABS last I knew.

Udder is a Northern Improvement First calf heifer. Her mother was a 3C Macho x WMW and this was her first baby. The calf is a Dream On out of NI heifer. The heifer slid out like butter and has been filling out like crazy. The NI heifer/cow now, is one of the best momma's of our group of first calf heifers.
We have used NI for years on our clubby heifers because he is consistent. I know there are occasionally outliers. But he has worked for us. He puts little hair on them as well. They grow and feed as we have had Northern Improvement steers in the past.

Northern Improvement all the way! Our Milkman show heifer had a 55 lb bull calf out of him. You can't beat that she just laid down gave a couple pushes and out he came. Thats what you truely want for 1st calvers....A LIVE CALF!

We have had very good luck with BC Lookout.  I know he is deceased but Genex has quite a good amount of BC Lookout available yet.  We just sold our BC Lookout steers at our local sale barn and got best price for weights we brought in.  They were light birth weights and hit the ground running.  We had quite a bit of snow in Minnesota last March and April and never lost one and had great weaning weights.  Very growthy calves.  We are keeping all the heifers back and we have some that we could probably pull for show but my kids have too many animals on their plates already so we will just let them be cows.

I can highly recommend Bush's Unbelievable at Cattle Visions!!  Owned by Reimann Ranches and Bush's in SD.  We bred 9 head, and got 6 calves.  Very consistent birthweights...heaviest was 81 lbs out of cow that usually throws some birthweight.  Lightest was 60 lbs, but all the others were 75-80 and shaped right for calving ease.  Give them 10 days, and they have really exploded...big hip and top, and cool profile.  I will be using him again this spring...looks like a winner!  http://www.cattlevisions.com/Angus/BushUnbelievable.php 

Sav Bismark is  #1 in  registrations for a reason and Genex has him in sexed male or Female he sells out or is short supply every year so get him ordered early either from a rep. or online.  He is a very easy calving and his calves have style and muscle and are very docile!!  <cowboy>

I had a first calf heifer bred to him, she calved a 54 pound heifer.  The calf is growing, and looks thick.

TC FREEDOM PUT A LOT OF STYLE IN HIS CALVES, had a son we raised that raised some good ones....The silveria STYLE bull sure puts the look on females ,never got any bulls ....

We like using Maxi.

jsar titan puts more hair and bone in the calves than most angus bulls and is still easy calving.
