Yes, Callahan made the comments mentioned, but about OU fans. Callahan is a thing of the past here....Former AD Steve Pederson and Billy have very few allies in this state...Comments such as he frequently made didn't sit well with the state. BTW,my friends in Oklahoma have teeth and aren't married to cousins....One other note....Callahan's comments regarding the Prima Donna Josh Freeman perhaps were uncalled for, but Freeman (or his dad) did indeed handle the whole situation in a very poor manner. Wish him luck in the pros, though I was perfectly content to see him sacked 12 times by the Huskers in 3 years....and go 0 for 3 against us!
OSU looks stout on offense this year...Dez Bryant is the man...but can they keep other teams out of the endzone?
UT (burnt orange does make me puke) and OU (no longer "Big Game Bob") both will be tough.
Look for Baylor, yes...Baylor, to be very competitive this year.
In the North, I think it's Nebraska and KU....that tough Big 12 South Schedule that KU has should allow Nebraska to win the North. The Huskers should be markedly improved on defense...with perhaps the number 1 defensive force in the country in Ndamukong Suh. There are some offensive question marks....but if you keep the other team from scoring, good things can happen. I give them the biased nod over KU due to the fact that KU's defense was porous last year and shouldn't be much better in '09. I have Nebraska with a 9-3 regular season with 2 Big 12 losses. Anxious to see any rebuttals.
Hope Misery goes 0 and 12!
Go Big Red.
