I just looked at the rules and I didn't find it anywhere... but someone told me you have to have a county fair eartag in your calf to show at Colorado State Fair... Can anyone confirm this ??

Yes. For any species. When you weigh in at your county you should of had the option for county only and state. It dosnt cost anything extra to fill out the state card. You had your weigh in all ready, right?

I know in Texas you do and it would seem like yall would to.  If not someone could bring in a ringer from any state to win the show.

Cowgirl94 you have to have a tag from your county and then that tag number is required on the bright orange nomination cards you have to fill out for the State Fair (you should get these cards at your county weigh in, or from the local extension office).  If it is anything like our county you actually have to ask for the card they don't just hand them out to everyone.  If you are unsure of any of this I would get on the horn with your county extension agent ASAP.  I know in our county we have already tagged almost all of the livestock species, so I hope you haven't missed the boat in your county.  I know you haven't missed the entry deadline for State Fair, but if you don't have a county tag it may not matter.  Good luck.
