Congrats Windy Pine Cattle Co!

I just wanted to give a big shout out to some good friends at Windy Pine Cattle Co. They won champion Angus steer at WI state fair today. If memory serves me, this is a steer they raised. He also won Grand Champion steer at their county fair just a couple of weeks ago and I can't think of a more deserving family. Congratulations guys and good luck in the championship drive!

I'm not sure exactly what his pedigree is. I think the dam is an Angus cow they own and probably a former show heifer. I would guess the sire is an AI bull, but not sure which. The young man on the halter usually has a good hand in the breeding decisions, so I am interested about the breeding too. I will post more info when I get it.

The kid is a fair hand at fitting for such a young one too! Thought this was a neat pic of him getting at it!

That's great! I just wanted you guys to know (if you didn't already) how proud everyone in my family is of you and yours! You have certainly come a long way in a short time. Congrats again and hopefully we will run into you at the fall expos.
