I think she's really cool. What is her birthdate?  Looks like she's gonna be a dandy cow prospect.

She has only gotten better  since January. She still has hair that most would kill for.  And Dylan complains that it's too much. Gaining good she weight 925lbs today. So I hope we make out OK at the sale. Looking forward to meeting a lot of you over there. Stop by and introduce your self.

Yes we have, she was Jr. Heifer calf champion at KILE and Pa Farm Show. Hate to sell her but can't keep them all. And we need to get a name started. We have a 2007 full sib due any day to Northern Improvement that we can't wait to see.

Well, change of plans.washed the heifer today and she has big bald spots. about a week ago we put out lime by the door that they walk into the barn.  When I washed her today she had dried lime/mud on her  where the spots are.Had the vet look at it  and he said she probably got burnt from the lime.we have 4 calves in the pen,10x20, and when they come in they all lay in a group and one probably had there hoof on her or something like that. So rather than haul her 4 hrs and probable not sell very well, I think we are going to keep her at home and try to sell her.

ouch, that's rough! Just make sure it's not rain rot or hot spots. Are the bald areas dry to touch or ozzy? Is ozzy a word?  ???

It is more like normal dry skin with no scabs or flaking. Not hot to the touch or anything like that. Just no hair. Seen that Knabe and this is not near as funny to me but such is life. So if anyone is looking for a good heifer let me know.

Would it look like that and how quick does it usually happen.  She was fine on Sunday when washed and clipped. How long till the hair starts to come back?

Don't really know haven't seen it come off in a patch like that but I know it is very irritating so she may have scratched on something.  Keep the area conditioned and you should see regrowth in the next few days, doesn't take long .

Our two year old had her northern improvement today. It was a 110lbs bull calf, really hard pull. Both seem ok. Just got done tubing the calf, he wants to get up but hasn't yet. Will get pics in a couple days.
