My mouth was watering at the mention of Rodney as well, I remmeber the Rodney daughters at Scotsdale and their were some fantastic ones back in the day. I think he'd add a great deal of fleshing abillity and capacity to a lot of todays females.

Many of the cattle in my fathers herd trace back to Rodney several times.

Albert Oram (Paintearth) used Rodney, maybe he still has some.

I bet they are moderate framed tanks, as Gay Lad stamped them with tremendous thickness and depth. Hope coyote can post some current pictures as I would like to see them as well.I think Gay Lad is one of the sires from the past that needs to be revisited. Some old genetics were bad when they were alive and are bad today. Gay Lad would be a popular bull today even though he was born in 1966. He represents some of the earliest polled Shorthorn genetcis as well.

I have some Gay Lad ETs coming next spring from our Elsie's J-Lo 3T donor ( a polled full sister to New Beginnings Elsies Jade) . I'm also selling a set of 4 grade 1 embryos from this flush in the Agribition sale and am guaranteeing a monimum of 2 pregnancies at 70days if an experienced embryo tech is used. These embryos are exportable.

Brasky, the bulls developed well, we used both of them on some cows and heifers. They grew out well and are the same size as our other bulls of the same age.
