2 products by 2 people one looking to imitate and duplicate the success of the other
If that wasn't the case they wouldn't have so closely copied the name in hopes youd mix them up

Somewhat like a lot of the bull naming that goes on

Was told that there was a partnership dissolved and now each of them have their own version of the same product.

This is my thought.

2 partners involved.  They both know the formula.  One wants to have complete control of their distribution channel, the other says let's get Sullivan on board and sell 5 times as much for 1/2 the margin.

They part ways, and the Sure Coat guy goes straight to John Sullivan and goes immediately into their distribution model.

I envision this being a little like Shark Tank.  One company stays "mom & pop", and the other takes in a Shark.

Everyone I have talked to has told me these are the same product with the exception of a couple ingredients added to Sure Coat so as not to step on anyone's toes.

I didn't think Sullivans was carrying Sure Coat? I know they were after ShowCoat for a long time but they decided to stay with what they were doing.

Most of this is incorrect.  I consider myself a friend of both individuals involved. I also have known both families for many years. The family that developed ShowCoat is the family that researched and developed the product. The Mother has been involved in the cosmetic and hair product industry her entire professional career.  My family has used their product for 15 years and have been able to try nearly every version they have made.  I also know that family has contacts in the medical research field and some of those contacts have assisted them with the development. The compounds found in ShowCoat are not available to any other manufacturers. I know this because they have given my Mother in Law some of the compound to prevent her from loosing her hair due to chemo treatments. I do not typically get involved in public post but those of us in this part of the country think the Sure Coat deal is a situation where an individual was allowed to gather some info because they were a friend and stabbed the other n the back!

My mom uses Showcoat too! She had very thin hair - started to wear hats last summer. She has a 2 oz spray bottle  of Showcoat and uses volumax in the shower. She started with Showcoat in March and just added Volumax in mid July. The ladies that cut and style have noticed a difference as well.

Does your mother use the products the same way that we use them on show cattle?  Volumax shampoo, then spray on the Show Coat and leave it in all night?

Just curious.  I think that is fantastic!  Hair loss and thinning is something that is accepted for men, but very life altering for women.  My mother had the same problem for as long as I could remember.

She sprays show coat on when hair is dry and uses volumax in the shower. She probably needs a refill of show coat.
