Interesting to me is that even though he is a Democrat, MSM is all over it..  not the usual sweep under the rug Democratic wrong doings...

still many outlets are not specifically stating he's a democrat.  none yesterday, only a couple today.

They wouldn't have reported it yesterday.  He was arrested at 6:15 this morning.   ;D

started hearing about the story last night, and this morning, and NO ONE this morning identified the party, (i know, this still feels like an "i gotcha knabe"), but felt the need to bring up nixon for some context, so before the i told you so's come flowing, go back to the story this morning and list the one's who identified the party.

if it was just standard to always list the party, no matter the party when the story hits as standard procedure, this wouldn't be an issue.

Police officers stand guard outside Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich's Chicago home on Tuesday after the Democratic politician was arrested by federal authorities.
MSNBC

"For the good of the state, and in the interest of the taxpayers, the Illinois Republican Party calls on Governor Blagojevich to resign his office effective immediately," McKenna said.  "If Governor Blagojevich does not resign his position, we urge the General Assembly to move swiftly with impeachment proceedings."
Illinois Democratic Sen. Dick Durbin said the state Legislature should call a special election to fill Obama's seat rather than allow Blagojevich to appoint his successor.
Fox News

Federal authorities in Chicago arrested Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, accusing him of attempting to benefit financially from his ability to name a successor to the Senate seat vacated by President-elect Barack Obama. The Democrat's chief of staff, John Harris, was also taken into custody.
CNN.com

Blagojevich, a Democrat, was arrested by federal agents today and charged with plotting to sell the Senate seat that was vacated by Obama after his election as president, according to a criminal complaint filed by federal prosecutors in Chicago.
Bloomberg Reports

Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich was arrested on criminal charges on Tuesday, including trying to sell the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by fellow Democrat President-elect Barack Obama, federal prosecutors said.

good job ohbreeder.  seriously.   every one, including cnn,  i checked this morning did not mention the party.  checking now, they run about 80% mentioning the party.  again, the principle, is that in general, the media does not mention the democrat as early and often as the republican, not just the snapshot of this instance, late in the afternoon.

Would Al Franken have enough money to buy into this seat if they don't have an election?

believe it or not, none of this bothers me.  it's up to the voters.

i found this interesting.

Then there's the 18 million vacant dwellings, of which some 4 million are listed as vacation rentals.

yet the state of CA has a mandate to build homes.  see lots of empty commercial buildings, houses etc.

basically, costs should go down, and eventually salaries as well as adjustment sets in .

What else are we supposed to do?  There aren't enough people that don't live in big cities.  The Democratic Machine in Chicago is too powerful for us to beat or compromise with.

politics is really local.  it's all about local development around cities by developers who buy land cheap, get it rezoned, use state growth mandates to build houses, bullet trains, pretty much everything. if you focus business around building houses and you don't need houses, pretty soon, your equity is at risk, you create a bedroom community.  far better to develope a broad based economy not beholden to anyone group.  as simple as it sounds and was used as the foundation of this country, distribution of power is the way to beat it.  when the machine comes knocking, as soon as you take money from them, your are done and only the incremental speed is the difference.
