We just upgraded to a double blower and was wondering how members ran power supply for their blowers.  We have have an older barn with some old wiring.  We put in a new panel and will run new wire as well.  Thanks in advance.

Run two 20 amp circuits to separate 20 amp outlets.  I put ours side by side in a double outlet box.

I run mine on a similar system, but I used 30 amp breakers, I found the 30 amps to be more effective when working large numbers of cattle

Make sure your wire size is big enough for the 30 amps with the length of run from the panel.

FYI  May want to check with your local electrician (or insurance company) on putting a 20 amp rated outlet on a 30amp circuit.

just to clarify, I did have the dedicated circuits put in by a licensed electrician, i'm no expert on these things, so I left it up to someone who IS! lol

I believe if your barn is insured and in case of fire it has to be to code. I am very lucky my Dad and brother are both electricians and we can run about anything you can imagine all at once.

Well it's a pretty long run from the panel, so we are going with 2 20 amp breakers and will run 10 gauge wire to 20 amp outlets.

Can a 1.5 inch hose with a double blower nozzle work for a double blower? Or do I have to have a 2 inch hose with the double blower nozzle? Will a 1.5 inch hose with the standard nozzle hurt a double blower?
