Things look awesome for this sale. Our heifers are settling into IL really well, I can't wait for them to get their fill back after the trip. Looking around it is hard to pick favorites as this a very deep set of heifers, and a stout set of bull calves that can fit into a wide variety of opperations and breeding senerios. Sue came through this morning and Bob and I were sorry to miss her as we are on our way to Iowa. I hope to meet alot of you next weekend!
Just looking at Lot 27 choice, those are really sweet looking heifers with an outcross to boot.
Good luck with them they should do well! (thumbsup)

Thanks! We are trying to make cattle that are bred a little different with a competive look. We hope to give folks a different genetic option to cross with while maintaining a competitive look and true function. This whole sale is a very unique and high quality offering. We couldn't be more exited for next weekend!

We did get through Leveldale and Duis cattle.

I posted some comments on our facebook page- but really folks 13a, you have to find this female.. We walked cattle without the catalog in our faces and Sundowner is consistant-
I love Craig Fuller-

Dottie is larger framed female of the  donor bunch -  she made a beef bulll - waco will look as honest and masculine as you can make em for display on sale day. He is slicked.

Stumpy - white heifer hands down.

For those of you that were at the 3 sales in Iowa this weekend,  How do you think the April Dottie heifer would have looked.

I think Dottie would have looked really good out there. I got her clipped out the other day and plan to go over her again tomorrow. Got the reclip on Talledega and Dallas and those boys look really special, the CF Solution son is a dark hoarse however, a lot of potential. This whole set looks really good, I feel great that two simple old Gus daughters fit right in with the good ones! I hope we have a lot of folks make it out as the cattle and hospitality will both be top notch in IL this weekend.

Yes Olsun - go and help Please give my new favorite herdsman  ( craig)a break . He needs alittle rest before sale day.

Stumpy- make sure Craig has plenty of fluids and stays in a cool shady place while he is clipping.

Stumpy - white heifers.... require a little more work but she is pretty good- give the new buyer a bottle of soap.

Looking forward to the sale.  I think I will look hard at the clip job Stumpy is doing on the white ones.  I have 2 white ones selling in the Cedar Valley Sale next week, maybe Stumpy can stop at my place, on his way home, and clip mine.

Any averages?
What about Lots3A, 10, 16A,19 and 27?

I'm going by memory, which may not be exact, but I heard average was around $6500. Dottie heifer calf was $31,000 I think. I was driving when I got the phone call so I couldn't write anything down. I think I would be happy with an average just slightly below this!!
