It's the time of year that lots of folks are calculating conception rates, be that ai, or ET.  I'm curious how those rates vary across the board.

Just talked to a larger ET facility, and they told me that they average 45-55% typically, on conventional, frozen embryos.  I was surprised, as this seems toward the low end to me.

Curious what everyone on here sees for ET conception rates.

Thanks,

I would agree with your ET center in general. I like to see at least a 60% pregnancy rate and I have seen higher and I have also seen lower rates. The first year I implanted embryos, I put 18 into recips and got 19 heifer calves. One of the embryos had split and the recip had identical twin heifers. The next year I found out the reality of ET as I only got about 35 % pregnancy. We have implanted embryos now for over 20 years and I have been fortunate to get over 50% each year expect for two years. Two years ago, I implanted 14 and also had 14 ET calves but that doesn't happen very often.
Since we started doing ET, we have collected over 2100 embryos from 352 flushes and have sold 1720 embryos to cattle producers in 12 countries. I have offered a minimum pregnancy rate of 50 % at 70 days as I want anyone who purchases embryos from us, to get some value for their investment. Out of 1720 embryos sold around the world, I have now replaced buyers who have not got 50% pregnancy with a total of 8 embryos. I think that is pretty good when you consider these have sold to many different climates and management practices around the world. Last year I sold a group of embryos to Costa Rica, and I was wondering how they would work in that climate. They have reported that they have over 60% pregnancy so far. Right now, I am trying to finalize a sale of embryos to Chile. That will make country 13 if I can get the deal done.

Our results are no where near as expansive or large of a sample size as mentioned above but we shoot for 55% our first 2 years we were a solid 20% across the board. I left my job and have been babysitting recips full time for the last couple rounds and we have gone right at 63% in that time (more natural heats mixed with little ins and outs of experience are what  I credit the increase to- but that requires a significant time investment)

We do mostly all Ivf embryos and personally have as good or better luck doing frozen on natural heats as we do with fresh on induced heats

Embryos from Uk and Argentina. Never got more than 40%.
Selected receptors, all sexual diseases vaccinates OK....good body condition receptors....asked to vet what was wrong....he answer me..."too many factors, not easy to know!.
Finnished my ET's by a time. Lots of embryos on tank.
Without a specific answer to do a good rate, will not implant nothing more!
