Hey, Brittney, I like him!  Thick and wide and long enough.  Maybe could be a touch tighter/cleaner in his front, but a real nice steer overall!

nice steer. he has a nice wide rump and sound looking legs. I agree with Dori that he could be cleaner through his front. but overall a real nice steer. I think your going to do good. good luck.

p.s. how much do you have to weigh?

I believe the minimum is 1000 no max that I know of my goal is 1250-1300 I really dont know how he gained 31 pounds he usually gains around 20-24 pounds a week and Iam guessing because he was so sick last week and he is just now getitng back on feed he is eating all feed at each serving and drinking tons of water so that prolly how he gained so much but iam not going to complain lol

You turn your own weight in at Fort Worth this year and they have the 5% weighback.

In my opinion, 7ou will want to weigh as light as you can if you want a chance at making the sale.  You may be borderline on whether you could get him in as a lightweight, but the middleweight and heavy weight classes will be dominated by some "mooses".  You need to keep pushing him to get him fat, but your goal shouldn't be to get him as heavy as possible.

For example, We're taking a little Angus steer that is weighing around what your calf is right now.  He'll be shown at around 1125.

We will also pull our steers back to stay in the lightweight classes, the big boys play too rough for us!  Chambero, the paint calf took another buckle this past weekend.  We are keeping our fingers crossed for the BIG SHOW, see you there.

I'm so proud of you!!!! He looks great.  Doesn't even resemble the pictures you showed us earlier.  You've done a great job.  You should be very proud of the job you've done with him! (clapping) <party> <party> (clapping) (clapping)

He looks really good, you have done a great job with him.  I think he would make one heck of a steer for Houston.
