I took some pictures of my sons market steer this afternoon.  He is out of Eye Candy.  You got to love his hair.  We didn't make the sale last year at the State show with my sons first steer (1st alternate) and we are hoping for better results this year.  I posted pics of him when he was just weaned back in March of 2011 on this site and the comments were mostly about his hair.  I would like to have your thoughts on the steer now that he is almost ready for his last show.  We liked this steers hair so much and soundness,  we bought a new steer and heifer for my kids out of Eye Candy last month.

He looks a bit mature in his neck, but then again that may be because he's not clipped.  What's his dam?  I really like him, he looks thick and deep, maybe just a tad lacking in the muscle department on those back quarters, but then again, with all his fuzz you may be able to shape that up.  Other than that I really like him.

Thanks for the comments.  I too, can't wait to see him clipped up.

RankCattleCo - We have always had a little issue with his front end, mainly the lower part.  His neck up high is really clean , it looks a lot different right now due to the hair.

WRC and RAnkCattleCo - His Dam is a Registered Angus Cow.  Since Angus is only required to be 50% at state, he will be shown as an Angus.

That dude will clean up. Nice looking. Goodluck. He'd be an all day clip job for me with that hair. I am old and slow but man you could carve on that one. Goodluck and post how he does and his POST clip shot.

Took a picture of my son's Eye Candy steer while he was being clipped up for OYE this weekend.  Just wanted to show you how he looks now that he isn't a hairball any more.
