I've had had more success with weight gain and fat cover with Producers.  But I don't feed just straight feed either, my goal is always to keep the rumen healthy.  I'm not sure where you are but they are in Bryan, TX.  I've used Lissey and Eckel and also Excel.  Honestly, they all look like they have the same ingredients anyway and range from $ 9.50 to $ 12.50 a bag depending on where you buy it.  Purina was just more expensive so I've never used it..

Earlybird, Umbarger, Big Gain. In that order. We've won a lot with all 3, but especially with EB.

Thanks Chuck Wagon.  Several years ago I would have Many Posts a day about our feed program. Don't visit the Planet too often anymore.

I tell you what..... If you want a feed that works straight from the sack.  You can't go wrong with Purina Honor Show Chow. I've seen the Fitter’s Edge in action and also the Impact Club Calf.  You can't go wrong.  The Fitter's Edge is more expensive.... True. If you want to pour your feed in the trough and sleep good at night use either of them. In my opinion Purina HSC is the way to go. Not to mention they have a toll free number you can call and ask questions.

Who ever delivers when they say they will and provide a consistent product.  Gave up on a feed company 3 years ago when they were consistently 2-4 weeks late on deliveries.

I use AAOK's ration using some different combinations for different groups and types of cattle. I figured out the price per ton last week and it figured up at $196.20 per ton. You can't beat that price for the results you can achieve. A lot of companies have most people drinking the Kool-Aid!! You can build your own and still be competitive with really very little out of pocket expense and along the way teach your kids about nutrition, feed stuffs, and costs.
