I got my pics today from State Fair. So I just had to share (thumbsup)
The first two pics are of our Make It Rain bull, a 3/4 blood. His dam won the 2009 South Central Regional show as a percentage, and is a top cow for us. This bull is an October, and won both the Open show and the Junior show at State Fair this year, along with winning the Best Bred and Owned bull. He was also selected as the Breeders Choice at state fair, which was the first year Missouri Simmental Breeders have done this. We weighed him August 30th, and he was 1200 pounds. Not even a yearling yet! He is for sale if anyone is interested, contact me privately. He will be on display at the Ozark Farm Fest next weekend.
The third pic is our Grandmaster, and she won Reserve Champion Purebred in the junior show.
The fourth pic is our Upgrade 3/4 blood we bought from Jeff Miller in an online sale. She won a ton this year, but was a little bit over-conditioned for state fair. She lives on air!
The last pic is our Fat Butt heifer. She was a division winner. She lacks depth, or would have gone a lot farther. We bred her to dream on for a spring calf, I hope he adds some rib!
So, there you go! I hope to see some of you at Farm Fest. We will have 4 bulls on display. We are looking forward to it!!!
Oh, and all of these are BRED AND OWNED, except the Upgrade!
And, I am the new junior advisor for the Missouri Junior Simmental Association. Whew! I am crazy!
