Buy a video. Work on a different calf. Practice.

Learn how to do it.
What videos would you recommend? I'm also trying to learn how to fit. Thanks

Watching other fitters is probably the best way to learn.  Practice on penmates as your not going to be real great at it for some time.  Fit your calf maybe a week before you go to a show if you have the time.  I still love to watch good fitters work, learn something almost every time.

The Guyer video that sullivans sells is pretty good.  They have one on clipping and one on show day fitting.  Both are very helpful.  Just watching someone who has done it for a while and knows what they are doing is still the best way.  The Show Stock U 2 day grad programs are also great.  They are free, offer a lot of hands on and one on one instruction and the schedule is on their website.  Biggest thing to remember is don't be afraid and worry you will make a mistake or mess one up.  The hair will grow back and no one that is a great fitter now hasn't messed one or made a mistake somewhere along the line.  Good luck
