I would like to hear from anyone who went to Fort Worth on how they did with their Jr. Heifers.  Some of the results are posted, but not all of them.  I'll start, May 1, 07 Brangus heifer won her class, but was too green in Division youngest son elated.  Jan. 3, 07 Maine-Anjou heifer (Ali sired) stood last in her class of 19, oldest son humiliated.  It was an eye opening experience, since it was their first major.

Good morning!! Fort Worth was my daughter's first "major" show also. She placed third in her class of Jr. Simmental heifers.  She was pretty happy, the heifer was walking pretty stiff and she got knocked for it.  We had a great time and are really looking forward to Houston. Where did you find the results posted at? Have a great day!!

Son was 7 of 9 with his May 07 Maine heifer.  Daughter was 8 of 16 in her Jan 07 Simmy class.  Had a good time.  Now I will try my hand at the open show this week.

Everybody eventually takes their lumps with any calf at the Texas majors.  I saw Sawboss's heifer and she wasn't what you would picture for a heifer that stood in the very back.  She'll do just fine as a momma.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Chambero.  The results, the ones posted are on FW main page under Livestock and Rodeo results.  You enter and then click Jr. Heifers under category and then enter the breed.

My April 06' Red Angus heifer placed 5th in her class out of 25. After she was all clipped up, she looked like a totally different heifer. I will post a picture as soon as I get it. Also, I caught in the Calf Scramble Sunday and got $500 to help me buy a calf for next year.

Congrats Showstick09, my oldest son gave up his spot in the scramble after his experience with his current scramble heifer.  He was ready to go home and start working with his steer for Fort Worth.  I hope the student that got his spot caught and enjoyed the experience.
