I am going to Fort Worth on the 1st and our hotel is on Beach Street in Fort Worth.  I don't know much about DFW.  Is Beach Street in a good part of town?

Anywhere in fort worth is better than the good parts of San antonio, Dallas or Houston.

So you wouldn't mind walking down E Lancaster or Eastwood bout this time a night then?  I live in Dallas, you have no idea what you're talking about.  Anywhere inside the loop (820) is questionable.

I'm guessing you are on n beach and I 30?  You be ok there, head west to the barns, don't go north or south from the motel, stay along the I 30, I 35 freeways as much as you can, andyo should be ok.

I work in FW - inside the loop.  I know what Steer4caddy is referring to - its full on hunting season at hotels and parking lots during the SA and Houston shows.  I got nailed at Houston 3 yrs ago.  Fort Worth isnt nearly that bad.  Just put your stuff up out of site.  There's plenty of bad guys out and about though if you dont watch yourself.

If you are in the Beach St. and 820 area on the north side of Ft. Worth, you should be fine.  Lot's of nice hotels in that area, and over toward the Meachum and I35W area.  I wouldn't get anything south of Meachum and I30 along I35W.

You can have problems no matter where you are.  But Fort Worth is not like other cities.  It's much better than Dallas for the State Fair or plenty of parts of Houston.  But like someone said, if you're careful, sensible and go about your business, you'll be fine.  Just come on and have fun.  Fort Worth is a great show.  Enjoy the experience.  And good luck to you!  Luckily, I stay with my mom about 20 minutes north, easy drive, and home cooked meals at night.
