That Herford was a beast.  I am with you I sure liked the look of him in the video.

Thanks for sharing

I think the right steers won - those smokey steers were to hard to deny.

If that is a straight Hereford steer - it was the dumbest decision in history to nut him. That calf as a bull would do a hell of a job for the breed in general. Not many herefords are that thick topped and that square hipped. He would be a breed changer.

Thats for the video - well done

coulda shoulda he was not straight hereford ill bet. i thought (from watching that show in person, not nessecerily through the video) that the shorthorn and the reserve polled calf were the best two in that show. now thats just my opinion from sitting those stands

Thanks again for the video.

I have to agree with that soft spot. The Horn family has one super cool young man in the flanks. I know Grand Daddy is proud. I think we are going to see more of him. That Hereford needs to be cloned.

Thanks for a great video Brad Hook. Very well done. Also congratulations to Dr. Mike Mimms for raising another Champion. Saw him at last years sale and was to stupid to buy him.

Thanx for the video-The Hereford was my fave rave for shear mass-love to have a hiefer clone-the Shorthorn was 3rd-JMO-yea they are going out of style-but gotta love em-the Smoke was second for me-the polled Hereford was 4th-probably along with the Shorthorn-more of a real world everyday attainable deal for mere mortals, if that was the basis for the show-the Short and Polled H  would have been grand and reserve-and I would have ridden out of town on a rail. O0

Great video! I am in awe of most of the steers in the final drive. How do you make a Hereford that stout?    ???

Hands down the the smokie grand should have one i saw it coming in the barn when he came in but i would have used that hereford for reserve he was big but not so big that he was stale he had a great over package and was still solid for his age. We talked to the people that owned  him and they should be proud for doing such a good job with that calf
