Now that the Georgia Jr beef futurity is over, I would like to get some folks thoughts and opinions on the steer show? I've been the show cattle business for 25 years and know a lot about a Little and a little about a lot; Like any other show there is always some happy and unhappy people with the results. But after watching the steer show I didn't know if judge Blake Bloomberg was more like Ray Charles (blind) or Bill Clinton (political) ???? He surely missed some good ones and his top #5 calves were about as inconsistent as I ever seen. That's just my 2 cents so let me here yours.

We were there but I didn't get to watch too much of the classes other than the ones we were in. We had Champion Hereford and got 3rd with our Simmy out of 10 - he talked our classes ok I thought.

Missed the steer show, but was able to watch most of the heifer show on Saturday.  I thought Blake did an excellent job of sorting and talking his classes on Saturday.  After watching a couple of breeds come through the ring you could just about mark your program before the final placings in each class.  Easy to follow, great job on the mike and liked his Top 5.  Sounds like a 180 degree turn around from your steer show post, but wouldn't mind showing under him again.

We were there and i thought Mr. Bloomberg did a greaet job sorting and talking the cattle, he talked every calf and was great on the mike. I would be very happy for him to make the trip back to GA and judge again.
