We have a heifer due to shiver in 16 days but it looks like she could go today. Really loose on the back side and has a ton of milk in the utter already. Anyone have any experience with shivers? due they come really early, on time, or late? we have another heifer due the same day to him and she's not showing as much sign as the other is.

heifers can tend to calve earlier than your average cow, up to 10 days early i believe. We've had them calve 2 weeks early and didnt have problems, you should be fine especially if she has plenty of milk already

I have a heifer due tomorrow to shiver. I would say she will pop in the next couple of days(hopefully). Her udder is about 3/4 full but she isn't really swollen all the way. I hate the waiting game.

she is out of a pale face x angus bull and a Power Plant / KA Rambo cow. High percentage Maine. she's not powerful, but she's clean made, sound, nice utter on her, hairy too. We never showed her.

I believe this is her on April 9th of last year. when she calves, I'll post pictures of a certain someone lets me borrow their camera, as I no longer have one.

Good luck, mine came real small and early, but one, went over 5 days, 100+ pound bull calf, he lived for a couple hours.

I'm sure something could be arranged.

Good luck Zach!  Cows and heifers are like humans...they can go early.  I was never that lucky both my kids came a week or 2 late!

This made me happy this morning...  <beer>
Shiver Heifer calf. Might weigh 60 pounds, she's really tiny. 8 days early.
