Good commercial simmi x hfrs

Bought these hfrs today (for the packers) and was very impressed with their depth of rear quarter especially since they are out of Holstien/Angus mothers. 20 months grass fattened. In muddy yards only to be drafted.

Don't often see that in a beef/holstein cross. Somehow that holstein always comes sneekin' through. Betcha if you bred one it would milk like crazy!....

I like that solid red heifer! One thing that sold my dad on Simmies back in the 70s when he started crossing em on his commercial crossbred cows was how well they crossed with any breed. A shot of Holstein or even Jersey made some REALLY good cows.

I just spoke for some smoky heifers out of our bull & some good commercial Simmental cows that belong to one of our bull customers. I'm try to post some pics here when I get em picked up. I'm kinda excited about em...
