What is the ratio of stupid things rush says versus being smart and can you give examples of each one.

When mccain says we are a country of rule of law but neither border enforcement law from 65 or 86 was enforced i guess you really do mean he talks both ways.

Or like kerry and obama who were against unilateral war before they were for it?

These politicians change their position so much you cant keep track of who they are.

Thats good enough for me to throw them out.

uh, really?

release money back to the states.  eliminate probably 3/4 of government programs.

keep defense, social security except means test it, get rid of corporate taxes and therefore tax breaks, get rid of fannie mae and freedie mac and thousands of economic interference programs that hide the true value of goods and services. yes, our taxes will increase, actually offset, but it's expenditure will be closer to home and therefore under more scrutiny so it isn't squandered and therefore we get more for our money.  this list is way too long.

i suggest reading the blog oftwominds.com for a perspective on my views.

there is absolutely NO reason adults should be working at fast food. it is a temporary job while one gets additional training for a higher paying job. it is not a job to raise a family on. how we got where we are that people are actually protesting about that is sad.

we pretty much know how our money is being wasted, but the politicians know we won't do anything about it since almost half the population if not more thinks we can just print more and nothing will happen.

http://oig.ssa.gov/sites/default/files/audit/full/pdf/A-08-12-13036.pdf

For TYs 2007 through 2009, the 100 employers who had the most suspended wage items had submitted over 2.3 million wage items for which the employees’ names and/or SSNs did not match SSA’s records. These wage items represented $15.7 billion in suspended earnings over the 3-year period. The 100 employers who had the highest percentage of suspended wage items for TYs 2007 through 2009 submitted over 111,000 wage items for which the employees’ names and/or SSNs did not match SSA’s records. These wage items represented $409 million in suspended earnings over the 3-year period.

many government stimulus programs suspended requirement to check social security numbers.

what a complete joke.  our own government is undermining our sovereignty.  yes, it's really that bad.

You have my vote knabe!

I will pass along a few bits of advice from a real smart guy I heard of in a charlie babbit kind of way. to a couple of members of this site..

First golden nugget bestowed upon aj, raise something.. ie. Raise some money for your campaign.                  Raise something.. raise your neighbors awareness of your platform.
Raise something..raise your voice passionately to a crowded room of your future constituents.
Market your product. Market yourself to your district or state. If your product is indeed as good as we think it is it will fly off the shelf(true capitolism)Being from a state that elected ahh'nold so many times you are a shoe in..
Second bit o wisdom given to xbar
Quit complaining and run for office. You have convinced yourself and I am ready to sign up as well.
Call your congressman if you are as invested as you seem in the greater good.
Get your self on a ballot and I will be the first to send you a check. Seems to me abortion isn't the only thing some are hypocritical about.
Maybe you already have done this and if so my apologies sir. Is this Gerry Brown undercover to a bunch of dumb ole country folk hiding behind some pseudonym.

Here's some commentary from oftwominds

http://www.oftwominds.com/blogaug13/community-economy8-13.html

Essentially the system maintains an elevated level of difficulty to becoming productive or useful as being self-employed or acting as an entrepreneur. It places far too many barriers, legal requirements and obstacles in the way to stop people from becoming productive and useful on their own terms. The distinctions in our societies between being a private citizen and a businessman or trader is systemically constructed and the gulf between them is far too difficult for the majority to cross legally.

Consequently the easiest way to become entrepreneurial is to trade illegally. There is no red tape to stop one from setting up lucrative businesses as a drug trader, criminal or a prostitute. The persistence of crime in our societies is largely derived from the fact that it is so hard to bureaucratically establish oneself as a legitimate and fully regulated trader acting within all the rules and regulations.

I would add that our government keeps adding to the overly lengthy list of activities it considers crime, lowering the threshold for a felony, and yet they refuse to enforce laws that non-citizens commit.

This to me means that our goverment no longer derives its power from the people, but from itself.
