Nice calf!  You have to be pretty pleased with how your calf crop is turning out!

thanks, I'm really pleased so far this year. Last year was a disappointment. Had several w/ structural problems. All but 2 went to feedlot.

Red,

We had 3 Hardcore calves this year as well.  2 heifers and a bull.  All are out of Maine cross cows.  Love all three of them.  More top in them then any day old calves we've ever had.  I will post pictures soon.  I was wondering if yours were exceptionally vigorous at birth.  All three of ours were up, full of milk , and kangarooing around inside of one hour.  Almost freaky how thrifty they were so quickly

I got one heifer from a half-Maine and half-Chi/Angus.  The cow is very tall and stong.  The heifer was very light at birth but really is growing.  Every time people come to look at steers to show, they ask about her.  She is not for sale.  She is a real keeper.  I wish my grandson was still with me, I would get him to show her.

I would be interested in the progress of your calf.  I would like to buy a Hard Core son for a bull.
