He's been used fairly heavy and can make some really great females. The few I've seen in production seem to do a very grood job raising a calf. He also is stacked with productive cow families within the Maine breed. There is  a  number of sons working in Registered and Commercial Herds.

Mid Continent has a full sib to Hardcore's sire and he looks  interesting, IMO.

We just calved out a Hardcore heifer and she seems to be a great mom, pretty nice bag, good disposition.  She calved with minimal assistance (bred to Tiny Tim 87 lb bull calf).  She milks pretty good at this point, but she is also out of a real maternal, easy milking cow.  One thing I would say is breed him to something that has a huge middle.  Our heifer is lacking in that area and she looks just like her sire.  As a calf she came pretty big, but we also have a bit of birthweight in our cow family, so that is definitely a contributing factor. JMO Best of luck to you.

I have had 5 heifers from him.  The first was as good a heifer as I have ever seen.  The next four are smaller framed than I like in my cows, all are smaller bone than their dams.  They are very pretty.  Hairy.  Grow a little slower than most of the other calves.  While the first one was the largest and fastest growing heifer calf.  Right now I like his son Tripple X calves better than his.  Basically he downsized my cattle and they did not grow as fast as others.  I would put him in the same class as Ali.  Slower growing, very pretty (ey-appeal), and great dispositions.  They will be red or black.  I like the black ones better that we have had.... 3-2, but that could be the dam.  I have seen serveral and they are all pretty.

We get  about 3-5 heifers from him each year. He worked well on Angus to produce good looking, sound and functional females for us. You can get papers on his offspring from commercial cows and that is a plus. We will continue to breed to him.

We have had great luck with Hardcore, especially when crossed with our CTR Success (Chiangus) genetics.  Hardcore will make them moderate, that is why he has worked so well with the Chi cross cows.  2 of our highlight Hardcores include the ZNT Triple X bull that Joe Boy was referring to and our ZNT Jenna cow who is a full sib to Triple X, and the dam of Montego Bay.  We have noticed that the Triple X bull's offspring tend to be a later maturing animals, so though they do not look bigtime at weaning, but by a year to 15 months old, they will be the best thing on the place.

Here is a pictures of ZNT American Hope, who is a 3/4 sib to Jenna and Triple X.  She is a Hardcore daughter out of a CTR Success x Traveler 6807 cow.  My daughter showed her in the Jr. Chi Show at Ft. Worth.

;D  My son had a hardcore steer that was reserve champion maine at the New Mexico state fair last september.  I really liked the calf.  He was very moderate in frame finishing out at 1250 lbs and no problems with structure.

If you want replacement females that will go out and work both  ZNT Triple X  or ZNT Montego Bay (both Hardcore derivatives) are hard to beat. They will have plenty of look and milk great . Their udder quality will also be impressive. Both bulls are correctly designed in their feet and legs and are exceptional on the move.

Montego Bay is uniquely bred being out of Triple X's full sister which makes him linebred to the dams of both Hardcore and Tyson which are full sisters.
