Hey Shortdawg, what's hayworth in your part of the world?

We have huge surpluses right now and it's cheap.

Tens of thousands of tons went out of here to Texas, Oklahoma and other southern states last year at cheap prices.

I wouldn't imagine! The freight would be nuts for sure.

But they were packing 53' van trailers on the 1/4 section next to me with 3x3x8 bales and hauling it on some backhauls.

Only getting $35/ton for it here in the swath but add baling, stakcing, loading and a heck of a lot of freight and it must have been PRICEY by the time it got where it was needed.

I feel bad, a few years ago in my area you almost couldn't buy a bale of hay at any price and it was absolutely scary.

I hope you all get some reprieve and are headed towards "Greener Pastures".

If you need more hay, let me know I'm sure I could find several thousand tons at reasonable prices, just provide your own trucks.
