Attached are pictures of our heifers from our recent county fair.  The Brangus heifer brought home Breed Champion and American Division Champion.  The Angus heifer won her breed and came in third in her division.  It was a good show for my boys!

We most certainly were there for the steer show.  My youngest son had a shorthorn steer that won it's class and my oldest son had a semintal X that was reserve in it's class.  If you come back in 2009, we will be showing with Garrison FFA.  Love to meet you!

Well thats pretty good, I saw some very nice steers there.  These heifers are nice too! I usually don't like Brangus, but I really like her!

Houston is QUITE a journey for me (about 20 hours), but maybe I'll get the chance to work there (I was fitting Lowlines) again!

I think Mrs. Sawboss misunderstood you, we were not at Houston with steers, our steer show is a week after.  We went to Houston with heifers last year, as well as Fort Worth.  Thanks for the compliments on the Brangus heifer, she should make a little noise this year at the majors.  As a May '07 calf she won her class at Fort Worth and placed 3rd in Houston.  The Angus heifer is a new addition this year, she is out of the bull Predestin and screams momma cow from the ground up.  I know the pics are not that good, but she is very feminine with smooth lines.  Our youngest son really likes the Brangus cattle and has two that he shows, his Jan. '08 calf will be even better in the end.  I understand a lot of people don't have much for the breed, yet here in Texas they are easy to care for and sales are good on the calves.
