What Hereford bulls are you impressed with.  Looking to narrow my search down for a very good group of Hereford cows.  Looking to get calves that will look good in the sale and show ring.  Thanks

We had calves out of about time and air force one this fall. I am far more impressed with the about time calves! I like one of the air for e ones okay, but our best calf this year is an about time heifer. We just got some bright future semen that we are looking forward to using this fall.

Limited Edition did a fantastic job for me and I called Select Sires the other day to see if they still had semen on him. Cows are calf raising sons a guns. I have Revolution and About Time in the tank and excited to see the calves I have coming next year. Purple Inferno did a nice job but only threw bulls for me.......

The hereford bulls that we've had success with are About Time, Purple Tonic, Purple Milsap, Enuff Prophet, Hard Drive, ANL Maverick, Reload, Purple Currency.  I have the best heifer I've ever raised right now out of About Time that I just sold for 5 figures.  I bought a bunch more About Time semen since its still cheap and will eventually run out.  I used Mullinix's new bull Kingsley on a couple of my cows and I am very excited with what they could look like, especially out of my freak necked Online daughter.  Hope this is helpful.  Good luck!

Thanks so much for the responses.  Revolution and About Time are on Genex site. Have people had good dealings with them or are there other favorites?  Thanks again.

I think it depends a lot on what you are trying to do.

Here are some of my favorites
Steermakers: Purple Womaizer, bailout, KJ Manhattan
Cowmakers: P606, L18 or anything with 29F
Heifer bulls: Durango, tonic, Reedem
Show Heifers: Milsap, Tundra, Nitro, Bright future

I personally like the Durango calves MUCH better than the About time calves. Durango's are much deeper bodied, stouter and have more muscle. I have not personally ever used Revolution so I do not know very much about him but Michigan State has had a lot of success using him.

Next year I'm going to be using:
                                          P606
                                          Womanizer
                                          Kingsley
                                        Currency
                                        True Grit  - Heifers
                                        Airline
                                        Reedem  - Heifers

These are just my opinions.
