I've noticed over the years that farmers have a certain way of driving.

1. the usually drive down the middle of the road.
2. average speed while looking at neighbor's crops is about 25 mph
3.They have been know to stop suddenly if another farm has some new equipment.
4.It's not unusual for them it almost end up in a ditch because they're looking more at the fields that the road.
5. A wave is sort of like extending you hand halfway up while still clutching the steering wheel.
6. They have been know to tie up traffic when 2 of them meet going opposite directions.

Any more?

They are usually wearing a cap.
They wave at you if you are driving a pickup - course that would be for the one you meet on the road.
There is probably an entire shop's worth of tools & supplies in the back of the pickup.

some car washes won't even let farm trucks at their place.

Also most farmer's pick ups have a gun rack in the back window.

If you ever see this, your driving behind a farmer.

Tie up traffic ????????? Shoot it's bad manners to make us move out of the road when we are chewing the fat. Our main road is named after my Granpa so I consider it mine. If we are in the road there's a nice mowed ditch on both sides that will suffice for passing. Toot the horn and we will run you down and it might not be pretty. ;D

Talk about road rage...its 15 miles to town and I get ticked off if I meet 1 car. The only time the windshied gets cleaned is when it rains. ;D

A years worth of paperwork is on the dash....

ok, that is me right there

thats one the things i hate the most about winter.  You have to run defrost so you have clean all the paperwork off the dash......  They need to come out with a pickup where the defrost somehow blows from the top down....
