Turn her out! Since she's black, do it on a couple of overcast and cool or rainy days, not just over night. This way you won't have to take the risk of changing up feed this late in the game. This is what we do with all of our show string once we get them where we want 'em. It helps tone them back up a bit, keeps them moving free and easy, gives them a chance to kick up their heels and play and keeps them from looking just plain stale. Hope this helps!

Ya turn them out is what we do, let her be a real heifer. I send them out in our farthest pasture, then they have to walk all the way back to the barn to drink, up and down hills. It forces them to exercise and really freshens them up.
