I have a short Amen x Angus heifer that needs a little frame and a cleaner front end. She has lots of power and hair. I was thinking Mercedes Benz would he do these things? What other suggestions do you all have?

Thanks Gargan, that is one I havent thought of! In the SEK Genetics book it says Witch Dr. has a moderate to small frame and I am wanting something that produces a little more frame because this heifer is too short. Has your experience been that he breeds a little bigger?

you have to keep in mind he was considered moderate framed in the mid to late 90's. he would be large framed compared to todays CE clubby bulls

Dirty Harry is a good choice for a little larger frame, thick and hairy.  Low to mid 70's bw.

What are Dirty Hairy 2 calves like? Is he heifer safe and does he add a little frame like his brother? My concern would be that the calves are to blocky and maybe too big for heifers

I used Witch Dr. on a White Jazz heifer that is small framed and he added a lot of frame to her calf. The calf came nice and small but has grown like crazy. I will be using him again in the future on my smaller framed heifers.

That is because Witch Doctor is a 1992 model bull, there are alot of cattle out there that go back to him.  It might just be time to bring some of those older genetic's back.

sounds good. thanks

I like Witch Dr. I think that is the way I am going to go. It should be a good cross. If I get some time I will post a pic of the heifer I am talking about, but I think the wind is supposed to blow like heck this weekend.
