Does anyone have calves out of him yet? Looks like a nice option to use in heifers. He's 3 this year, figured maybe someone had some opinions of him

I think I like the looks of the full brother better compared to the original, looks more functional but like you said, they probably won't be called out of the full brother

we leased him last summer for about 25 heifers... 5 or six have calved  all low birth weights and all still alive.. they look pretty good but more like Maine calves.. square hips etc .... they just can't compete with the club calves for pure looks right now but structure is OK so far ...

to early to say what they will look like at weaning

Not to highjack the thread but are the I-80s like the Ali's, turn it up a notch after their older, my experience with the Ali was the older they got the better they got.

The I80s do get better with age, just like the Alis. my only knock on him was that the calf did not get very big. weaned at 500lbs. I know the cow had some to do with it.

my  previous posts were a little premature ..9 delivered so far...1 c-section with 105 bull calf out of a who/ whiskey/angus and a couple of hard pulls... we will watch these others very closely and will not use him again on heifers

conformation is excellent except going to have some short ears after this cold night
