Post a picture of your ideal cow and explain why?  This is my ideal cow - phenotypically she is flawless and I feel she combines the most in terms of functional beef cattle characteristics.

Nice cow! How about going a bit further and post what you would do if you had a pasture full of them. Meaning what breed or sire and go for feedlots steers, breeding cattle.

Purebred Angus. She makes me replacments. Cross with PB Simmis, Maines. Then use those daughters to raise the steers.

A friend of mine owned that cow. An interesting story behind her I can never tell.

Nice PB Angus Frostback. I would like to have an Angus cow like her. I have a hard time finding good Angus cows to use for making replacements for clubbies. My dad had many Angus cows over the years and I just could not get over there small butts, but I do like the looks of that Angus. My next heifer I want to buy is a PB Angus that will have a good build like that to use to breed with Simmi and Maine for replacements, good cow. The red cow is an outstanding cow also, I would take her in a heartbeat, that is if I could afford her.

Nice cows guys.  I would love to have either one of them.  I always believed that Angus cattle were kinda blah and scrawny myself until I went to a Yardley sale and that made a believer out of me.  Frostback, your cow is also proof that beautiful Angus cattle are out there.

To me she is very well put together and more importantly her progeny have made me money wether bulls or hfrs all sellers and keepers./// I liked her too-a couple years ago a guy posted an angus cow in Canada that remains the best one Ive ever seen- thickest heaviest made of probably any black cow of any breed-that isnt course looking O0

here is one that has worked here and I certainly would take a bunch that do their jobs like her. She is easy fleshing, fertile, milks enough to raise a good calf and stays in condition while doing it. Every calf she has produced here is either in our herd, or sold for breeding purposes. She is shown here as a 4 year old, and 9 years later she still looks much the same. She has been bred to a wide variety of sires and she stamps them all much the same.

This is the start of my new herd after some absence.  Phenotypical, she is my ideal.  Here she's still carrying a little show fat.  She's big, thick, correct, hairy and feminine.  Great temperament where you can do just about anything with her.  She bred and stuck first time.  So I'm guessing she's fairly fertile.  Will have to see how she produces.  She's could either have her sire, Heat Wave's, ability (or lack there of) or her Grandsire's, Meyer 734, which I'd love.  It's why I went with this particular cross.  Hoping to get the best out of both worlds.  She is going to drop a Jesse James calf within the month, so I'll know more soon...but again, too look at and work with, I'd love a bunch just like her.  Time will tell.

We also really like this female. still awaiting her first calf which is due in the next week. She bred AI first time, maintained condition this summer while it was extremely dry, appears to be developing a good udder, thick, soft, and sound with a perfect disposition. We are hoping for big things

All very nice cows! I just wanted to be clear that the cow I posted isn't mine- just what my ideal looks like.  I had a guy at work as me what the ideal cow looks like so after some picture searching I found that one.
