here is one that has worked here and I certainly would take a bunch that do their jobs like her. She is easy fleshing, fertile, milks enough to raise a good calf and stays in condition while doing it. Every calf she has produced here is either in our herd, or sold for breeding purposes. She is shown here as a 4 year old, and 9 years later she still looks much the same. She has been bred to a wide variety of sires and she stamps them all much the same.

This is the start of my new herd after some absence.  Phenotypical, she is my ideal.  Here she's still carrying a little show fat.  She's big, thick, correct, hairy and feminine.  Great temperament where you can do just about anything with her.  She bred and stuck first time.  So I'm guessing she's fairly fertile.  Will have to see how she produces.  She's could either have her sire, Heat Wave's, ability (or lack there of) or her Grandsire's, Meyer 734, which I'd love.  It's why I went with this particular cross.  Hoping to get the best out of both worlds.  She is going to drop a Jesse James calf within the month, so I'll know more soon...but again, too look at and work with, I'd love a bunch just like her.  Time will tell.

We also really like this female. still awaiting her first calf which is due in the next week. She bred AI first time, maintained condition this summer while it was extremely dry, appears to be developing a good udder, thick, soft, and sound with a perfect disposition. We are hoping for big things

All very nice cows! I just wanted to be clear that the cow I posted isn't mine- just what my ideal looks like.  I had a guy at work as me what the ideal cow looks like so after some picture searching I found that one.

Here is one of our silver duns that I think is built pretty well.

Galloways- The breed to produce the hardier crossbred cow.

I should clarify that the red cow in my post above is not "mine" in terms of ownership, she is just close to my ideal.  I do however own a bull out of that cow I just want to make sure that is construed as being under my ownership. Really like the other cows posted on this post.

Here are two more of ours I like.

1 - 9 yr old black Galloway-proven every year has one of the top calves.

2- yearling dark dun Galloway- unproven, but like the way she is put together.
Galloways- The breed to produce the hardier crossbred cow.
