I think the banjo music is the perfect touch! That is ridiculous. How do you think that a person who has no experience with this world is going to view all of us after watching this.

It seems that no matter what type of program it is (radio, movie, television show) they somehow ALWAYS manage to throw banjo music in there.  I find this particularily funny because the last time I showed (almost two weeks straight) I did not hear ONE banjo!!!!
I heard more techno than country music, and most of the music came from huge brand new high bass stero's.  No AM radio's for us!!

they think that every person that lives in a rural area only plays or listens to the banjo. Just like we all wear bibs, a straw hat & chew tobacco.

(lol) :)))

man has been making fun of those in power (landowners) for centuries.  the easter bunny was created out of the conquering of a society in england that worshipped rabbits.  the holiday basically ridiculed that religion, and all it took was a couple of generations of kids for that religion to disappear.  the media's greatest strength is marginalizing people.  if only their microscope worked in both directions.  this is called benevolence.  that's why there is a saying "absolute power corrupts absolutely".  it's just not possible to not abuse power.  that's why distributing it is important.  somehow, men with a vision discover that incorporating existing rituals into a new one is the best way to consolidate power within their lifetime.  rarely does it exist too long after that, though there are exceptions.

I wouldn't worry too much about people like that.  They are the one's who are ignorant.  I talked to someone who thought that "Angus Beef" was the way that  it was prepared.  They had no idea that is was a breed of cattle...... (lol)

I heard someone say one time that they wouldn't be able to survive on a farm, (Which really is a sad statement IMO) because they would have to give up all of their luxuries and there wouldn't be a mall near by.  I swear it would kill half of these suburban/city people to go outside and do some real physical work.

Most people like that are out of touch with what really matters in life.  Most Americans have gotten away from simple values and the basic know how when it comes to surviving off of the land.

think of these "ignorant" people as someone to convert to have concern for agriculture and the constitution.  they are bombarded by the opposite every day.  ignorance is a sign of a void of information.  stupidity is having that information and doing either nothing about it or worse, destroying the hand that feeds you the safest, highest quality food in the world, and until recently, in enough supply to have a net export to the world.

one can't tax themselves into prosperity.  it's like trying to lift up a bucket while standing in it.

You hit the nail on the head there! My thoughts exactly. And those are the cornballs that other people see and they are wearing a cowboy hat and boots, so they have to be real country folk! Makes me want to vomit!

Well being in the Houston area, anytime we get a real country bar somehow the city folks seem to hear about it and start to sneak in. For some god aw-full reason they insist on line dancing! I guess I need to open up an underground exclusive country bar and train the bouncers to spot city folk and send them packing!
