country companies... livestock mortality.. may have to check around with other livestock people in the area to see who a rep is...  the office we use for our regular farm insurance didn't want to do livestock.. so they lost all of our business, and we switched to the office in another district who would do livestock.

I think cattle are like 6%

A 4-h or FFA project can be added to most Farmowner policies.  If not a junior project Harding out of Illinios will cover them for death by ant cause.  Just call your local agent and ask them to look.  They may not be familier with the endorsement and they may have to look it up.

it can be added to your regular policies.. but if I remember right. the animal had to die from natural causes.. lightning, pond, etc... with mortality, it dies, you get paid.

we have both, a whole herd policy through our regular farm ins...  this covers like 40% of the herd in a lightning strike.. but take out the good stuff on the "great" ones.

We used a horse insurance agency that charged like 10%. It covered, sickness, lightning strike, broken bones, etc. We only collected twice when we had an outbreak of BVR that killed some of our show calves two years in a row, then we moved barns and didnt have any problems after that.

Contact Ingid Tusa with Sonora Insurance Group.  Her cell is 979-595-7865.  She is selling a policy that is 6% ($2500 to $25,000 limits) for all risk and mortality.  Tell her Doug Murrey sent you.
