Iowa Winter Beef Expo

Wow, as of Feb. 1, over 1000 head entered in the junior show.  That seems like an amazing amount of entries this year considering they raised the entry fee.  Not sure what the numbers have been in the past.  Should be a great time in Des Moines.

Wish I had some calves ready for show, i'd enter!

I am going.  We have 3 head entered.  Should be a good time!!!

We will be down there with 5 head....
With how well the Iowa juniors have been doing so far in Midwestern shows, should be quite a good show...

Im headin down to watch the show.

There's lots of us Iowegians on SP and dozens more Iowalurkers who don't post.  I found out by accident that there are two people who are on SP quite often that live within a few miles of me!!  Guess I better be careful what I say, Huh!!

We'll be down for the Junior show--my daughter's showing a shorthorn heifer.    Unfortunately, due to a sudden change in scheduling for my job, I'm going to miss the State Shorthorn meeting and the sale on Monday and Tuesday.  I hate it when work interferes with my hobbies!!  Ha, Ha!!

Hopefully the weather cooperates this year.  The last few years have been notorious for ice and snow......people still get there but it has been a little rough some years.....

I would love to meet the imfamous JIT in person - I'll likely be in the Red Angus isle most of the time other than Tues I will be working the sale ring. RW

I allways wanted to see the beef expo-from what Ive seen of the Iowa stae fair-the cattle there are some of the best antwhere in the US-just absolute quality-cattle-presentation-and energy in the feed. O0

The Iowa Beef Expo has some of the greatest cattle out there every year excpet one year we have bought Maine Anjou cattle the cattle bring very reasonable prices.

I will Be there a few days not sure when yet. hope to see some of you!
