Joint Supplement

What is everyones opinion on the best joint supplement for a steer who is built a little too straight and needs some help staying sound and comfortable as he is getting bigger. He will show fat the end of October, is suppose to go to slaughter then, but will keep him extra if there is a withdrawal pd. on the best product.

To be completely and unbiased honest with you,none of the so-called joint products will do as advertised. Some may help a little,but not enough to control any half way serious problem.I have been able to stop the poppin and crackin of the pasterns for a short period of time,but with no guarantee on show day. Don't know the problem your calf has,sometimes you can give them Banemene an hour or so before the show,but it don't create miracles either.

Been hearing lots of good things about natural stride!

He's uncomfortable if he's on his feet for a decent period of time. He will just "dance" and cannot plant the feet and be still and comfortable. I was looking for a way to get him under control for the show mainly. He doesn't pop his pasterns, just seems hung up and not right structurally. Doesn't have foot rot or anything stuck in his feet, but could use a hoof trimming though I do not think this is the source of his problems. Sorry for my inability to better describe it.He hasn't stopped eating or gaining because of it, but I think he will do much better if he looks more comfortable come showtime. It has just started affected him since hes gotton into the high 10s low 11s. Was pretty much ok when he was lighter.

How long is he on his feet during the day? He might be getting tired. You would also be surprised how a hoof trimming will effect a calf.

lubrisyn. Its expensive but it works. Look it up on line. It is actually an equine product.
