Kaper 4508 home again

Kaper 4508 is home again after a 3 month vacation at Interglobe.We are looking forward to Shorthorn University arriving here June 10th and attendees will be able to see 4508  and some of his offspring.Also would like  to let those who have expressed interest know that we now have semen on 4508 available for sale.

Glad you decided to collect,its certainly the right time.Im gonna figure 1 or 2 to use him and 1 of Larsons bulls on too-Ive got very little left,but the BWS are getting better every year-got a 68 pound Touchdown 1st Calf, who looks like he"ll be the1 of the biggest weaning wts ive produced in years-if hell stouten up,hes gonna be worth promoting-hes 2 months and already more than haf the size of his mother-tho she is pretty moderate O0

sexed semen collected?

We have shipped semen to a foreign land so it is a quarantine situation.No sexed semen,heifers are great and the bulls are marketable.

4508 looks functional and like some genetics that Shorthorns can use.

Mark T., your calf has a good profile and muscling along with legitimate low BW.  He will have a place in the beef industry.

Eggbert, 4508 is a 4 frame score.

Glad ya got him home, wish he wouldve been there in April.  It was great so see his progeny though, they are very remarkable themselves, cant imagine what daddy looks like.  Super good set of shorthorns you have there, I was thoroughly impressed.  You should be very excited to have SU tour your operation!

How do his calves perform?  Are they faster growing than perhaps the Proud Jazz line?  Good performance in a moderate frame?  I always liked 26A.  Didn't Stouts have of son of him they called "Skunk"?  Does he work on heifers?  Do his daughters make good cows (milk well) with good udders?  Always looking for something that might work.  Interesting combination of genetics.

I am well satisfied with the performance to date but would be hesitant to comment on how he compares to Jazz as I have not used any of the Jazz line to date.Marty or Scott Loving my partners on 4508  would be more qualified to answer that question as they have been using a son of Jazz in their program.I would point out that those offspring would be 0ne generation further removed from Jazz with an extra cross of bigger cattle so it may not be a true comparison.4508 is a no brainer on heifers.His first daughters will calve in a couple of weeks and they appear to be sound uddered at this point.As a point of interest since you brought up the  Jazz line.Marty and I bought Jazzy 250j and we have cows carrying embryos from her and 4508.
