liquid bluing or a dark colored laundry detergent works well. Or, what my friend does who has a smoky calf, put a cup of bleach in a gallon of water, scrub the water in really well, and then wash with soap to get the bleach out. This works really well. Good luck!

Put some oxyclean in a pail of water, and dump it down her back, also, bed on shavings, and not straw, it will help keep the urine stains down

Work on some prevetion too. Keep the pens clean, lots of bedding. After you wash a lot of Kleen Sheen, it repels stuff, and keep the worse parts oiled up, like knees, hocks, and flank.

We have a white Shorthorn heifer that we show.  Here is what we do to keep her super white.  We use whatever shampoo we can find that is cheap. We use to use Joy detergent, but found that it just doesnt do as good as good as shampoo.  Wash really good and rinse well.  We then mix up in a 5 gallon bucket:  2 squirts of Mrs. Stewarts bluing agent (dont use too much or it will give the hair a blue tinge after the rinse), ~1 oz. of Atroban and about 2 oz. of a volumizing hair conditioner (we use Suave).  Fill the bucket all the way up and pour all it all over her.  After two or three times of doing this you can really see that she will be snow white.  I do agree with the previous post that it is very vital to keep the stall well bedded and as clean as possible.

I have a white shorthorn steer and do agree that it takes a lot to keep him clean. I  rinse twice a day and he still manages to muck himself up each day. Use Sullivans Bright Lights or Quic Silver. I alternate between the two and they truly make a difference. When your heifer/steer has a nice brown patch of mud (or worse) use dreft detergent. Its for white baby clothes and it does wonders for me. The most important thing to do is keep that pen clean though. I am debating using shavings if I must, have to run that by my AG teacher though. Good luck keeping her white though!
